What is that saying, the horrors persist but so do I? Another month down and although I would consider myself a summer lover, I am very much looking forward to fall this year.

Drinking:
I love myself a good spritz. Aperol Spritz, St Germain Spritz…I love them all. So when we were up in Door County this month and ate at a great seafood restaurant in Bailey’s Harbor (Harbor Fish Market and Grille) and saw that they had an Apple Cider Spritz, I had to try it. Absolutely delicious and the perfect fall drink. Hit had a great, light flavor and did not taste overly boozy. So if you prefer a lighter cocktail and see this on a menu, would definitely recommend!

Milwaukee is home to a new romance bookstore! Located in Wauwatosa, The Well Red Damsel is definitely worth a stop! They carry a huge variety of romance and the books are organized by genre, which is so helpful. There is also a whole section in the front dedicated to Wisconsin authors (which is the book I picked up and it’s signed!) Of course I had to pick up a tote bag, t shirt, stickers and a print as well because #shoplocal.
They also host author events regularly as well as book swaps!
Wearing:
This month, B and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary. To celebrate, we went out to dinner with two of our best friends and I decided that it was time to bust out the Loubs! These are the Christian Louboutin Hot Chick stilettos.. These retail for $895 - do not spend that much! I picked these up from The RealReal for about $100 and they look barely worn!
I’m a big proponent of shopping secondhand, thrifting, and participating in the circular economy so that we don’t absolutely destroy this one planet we have. So please, utilize site like The RealReal, Fashionphile, and ThredUp to find great deals on designer and vintage pieces!
