What I’m Loving: August 2025
While some are celebrating the end of summer and the start of spooky season, I’m over here dreading having to wear multiple layers of clothing and real shoes in order to leave the house. Unpopular opinion, but I prefer summer to most parts of the year, mostly because I am cold 99% of the time and summer is pretty much the only time that I can be outside and be comfortable.
However, we have big plans for a large Halloween display in the front yard and possibly moving our annual Friendsgiving to earlier and close to Halloween so at least I have something to look forward to.
As for now, please enjoy what I loved in August.

Using:
I picked up a bottle of this when I was in Paris last year and just finally used it up, so of course had to grab another bottle, The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse body oil has an amazing scent that is floral yet sweet but not sickeningly so, which makes it such a universally loved products that also provides hydration without any sort of sticky residue.
If you are in Paris, go to any pharmacy to pick this up and it is much cheaper than buying it in the US. This is a product that I will purchase again and again.
Wearing:
Some o f my favorite. pieces this summer have been lightweight, simple basics. I picked up these great linen pants from Costco and not only are they lightweight, but they are also a thick enough material that panty lines don’t show. I can dress these up with a nicer top and some wedges, or dress them down in a basic tee, denim button up shirt, and sandals. I love having pieces like this that are versatile in my wardrobe. I can’t wait to wear these when we travel back to France next year.

Reading:
I discovered Chelsea Fagan on Instagram shortly after A Perfect Vintage was published and love her style and her content. So when she released The High Dive this summer I knew I had to pick it up. These are perfect summer reads and allow for an escape to Europe through contemporary fiction. I’m not much of a fan of contemporary fiction however I really enjoy her style of writing.
